Dear Change,
The working environment has turned quite fierce with business struggling sustain itself, is this even a new thing? Surely when the education was introduced, steam engine was invented, machinery used in manufacturing plant, etc., it would be the same kind of struggle.
Trends change and so we have to be organic and change with it. Some people as soon as they graduate they have that graduate job, which is fabulous because it's straightforward. Then you hear stories about using social media and getting landed a job so it shows how powerful technology and the internet is when you use it properly! I tried both ways and didn't get very far mainly because I gave up as I soon realised that it wasn't the way I could use to get myself the job I wanted. If the trend is skinny jeans, not everyone suits it or find it comfortable so why force yourself if you are one of these people?
In my opinion, following a trend doesn't really do any good. I read in a fashion magazine or something that, unless you have a lot of money it isn't cost-effective to buy the latest trend so buy the key pieces and adapt to your own wardrobe. Key to survival - adapting. (Apologies to male reading this and seeing the fashion analogies and apologies again for stereotyping.)
It's obviously not the only key. There are other factors. (I've hit writer's block so this will do).
I'm unwell!!!
