Aspiration

To The Universe,

If we didn't have any, we wouldn't really bother getting up or eating. Whether, it's completing a video game or being able to overcome a fear, at the end of the day it's still a goal. Last night, I read my horoscope (I got bored with the internet) and it said I should write down my goal in life. Well, why not? I guess I write it here and send my aspirations along the wonders of the world wide web...

[15mins later] It isn't really as easy as it seems. I'm even more confused.

Work-Life Balance: at any dinners, gatherings and social area, I want to be able to talk about something away from the subject of work, studying and/or training. Afterall work talk is for work, and even that it is part of my life  it doesn't dictate it. Then obviously, maintain contact with people. I guess I want a rich life full of people and laughter, ranting is allowed but let's minimise this, stuff my head full of happy, funny and positive memories.

Interest and Hobby: let's face it, I don't do going to the gym, I don't do sports. I just don', it's not in me whatsoever. However, I would like to be able to dance in front of a mirror (in my head I think I look cool but when I see myself it's a complete shock!! So now I can't face the mirror). I would like to take on an extra-curricular activity which has nothing or as little to do with my job and make it stick! Yes, I have a problem with keeping things long-term, I like to dib and dab, and that's it...

Get Up and Go: having the confidence to go and get, try and experience.

Career: main thing I am aiming for other than sustainability and enjoyment. What's the point in spending 25% of your life doing something you don't value or have interest in? I would love to be working within the film industry regardless of what position - art department runner, production co-ordination, script supervisor, it's all fine to me. The buzz you get from working on filming projects is amazing! Every project is as unique as a leaf, different people and teams, scripts, location.

A Roof Over My Head: I want the 3 bedroom apartment (which happens to be around the corner from where I actually stay). It's so beautiful - dark wooden flooring and white walls with skirting, victorian decorative ceiling. I haven't actually been to view it yet (yes it is for sale but I've not got the greens yet). I would repaint the white walls as the pictures seem to be blinding, then I'm torn between the type and material of furniture.

Everyone should write/type down your aspirations.
