It Starts Young

Dear Little Girl,

I just wanted to say thank you for your golden quote, "if I can do it once, I can do it again."

Let me explain.

I was involved in a training type of short film which was for 3 days and included two nights stay in Anstruther (the rented house was simply amazing). My responsibility ranged across the board from chauffeuring to chaperoning and looking after the location. It's amazing because I got to travel and drive a Hyundai i35 crdi, can't complain.

Anyways, I was looking after the actor's daughter (7) as the actor himself and youngest daughter (5) were kind of playing themselves. However this daughter wouldn't go to the film shoot unless her sister comes which means I was looking this daughter. We went to the beach and she wanted to skip pebbles - this is where you throw the pebbles and it jumps or skips across the surface of the water - so that's what we did.

I managed to make it skip once, and for her, after a few tries she managed to skip it once. We get sidetracked. Then we go back to skipping pebbles and this is the moment she says the golden quote.

A 7yrs old girl understands the concept of practise makes perfect.
