Momentum

Dear Motivation,

When you haven't worked or challenged yourself, your brain really works slower. This is why I don't like week long breaks because it's not good for my brain but good for my body. Recharge.

Commuted for 3 hours (1.5 hours one way) for 6 days for 4 months.

Played hard for 2 weeks.

Ill for 3 - 4 weeks.

Got lost for 3 weeks.

Lazily applied for work for 2 weeks.

Got nowhere.

Tried to get into activities which make me be more creative - finally got something, paper roses. It's really pretty. And I am going to do something with it. I am determined to bring back the drawing and designing skills I have rusted somewhere, it will take time simce I haven't actually properly done it since first year university.

After a feedback session with one of my non-successful interviews, it kick-start my motivation to do something. I guess, I could just ignore the feedback and carry on moping around. But that does nothing for anyone.

That's the thing. No one can truly help you. Suggestions and advice are good but isn't what you need. It's an ear. Someone to listen to your thoughts, fears, worries and hopes. Not someone whose forcing you to take a direction when your mind is blank; would you drive when you cannot see the road?

Sometimes it's a waiting game, for that realisation. And that's where you need people to support you by being there and keep you going, not force you to choose a path.

Bouncing back to action in hopefully in the New Year.

Thank you for all those ears out there.
